“So on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruits of the land, you shall keep the feast of Yahweh seven days…You shall dwell in temporary shelters for seven days. All who are native-born in Israel shall dwell in temporary shelters, that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in temporary shelters when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.” – Leviticus 23
For thousands of years, people have been setting up temporary shelters/tabernacles (“Sukkah” in Hebrew) to celebrate their liberation from Egyptian slavery as described in the book of Exodus. For us today, every year we observe this feast to celebrate the harvest as well as our personal liberation from sin and death. While there are many pre-made Sukkah kits on the market to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot, they are usually made from cheap materials…but we are taking Sukkah Kits to the next level!
